Mid Argyll U3A was formed in 1996 and now has 100 members. Each U3A is an independent local organisation affiliated with the Third Age Trust, the worldwide association encouraging lifelong learning for men and women who are no longer in full time employment.

General Meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of every month from September to April usually starting at 2pm in the Lochgilphead Community Centre.

A wide variety of topics include interesting speakers, a members' day when different groups give short presentations, music recitals  and always refreshments and a chance to chat with other members. These meetings are a good opportunity for potential members to come along and find out more about our U3A. There is usually a reminder poster in the Lochgilphead Co-op.
